Drug and Alcohol Use and Information for Wisconsion

According to a report called Wisconsin Edipimological Profile on Alcohol and Other Drug Use from 2012, Wisconsin has a severe problem with alcohol and had more motor vehicke fatalies due to alcohol use than the US as a whole. The number of arrests for driwing under the influence are also extremely high.

Drug related death are on the rise with 287 in the year 2000 and 512 in the year 2010. This is slightly under tge national average, but of course still of concern. Opiate related death including heroin are on the rise more than other drugs.

Some of the points that Wisconsin does not score points on are: No prescriber education required, no good samaritan law (reducing senetcning for indoviduals who seek help, no requirement that someone has to show ID to get controlled substances.
