Ohio has a severe drug and alcohol probles. Following are statistics from a report published by the Office of National Drug Controll Policy. In 2007-2008 Ohio was one of the top states for rates in several drug abuse categories, including past year non medical use of pain relievers among youth age 18 - 25 as well as illicit drug dependence among young adults age 18 to 25. The number of meth lab seizure incidents in the state of Ohio increased 83%, from 167 incidents in 2007 to 305
incidents in 2009, according to data from the El Paso Intelligence Center's National Seizure System. Drug induced death in Ohio exceed the national rate. More people died drug related death than in traffic accidents.

These statistics show that there is a dire need for drug and aopcohol treatment and especially long term treatment as short term very often does not work.

There are many treatment programs in Ohio that are listed under long term treatment centers and we have listed most of those below. The definition of "long term" in this list is 30 days or more. We recommend at least 90 days.
